Ingredients
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/4 cup sugar
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup Corn Chex™ cereal
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup Rice Chex™ cereal
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup Wheat Chex™ cereal
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios™ cereal
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 3/4 cup toasted sliced almonds
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 cup dried banana chips
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1/2 cup dried blueberries or raisins
Directions
  1. In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  2. In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereals and almonds until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
  3. Stir in sugar mixture and banana chips until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute. Spread on paper towels; cool about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in blueberries. Store in airtight container.
Expert Tips
  • Each Chex® cereal adds its own oven-toasted flavor and special crunch, but you can use any combination of your favorite Chex® cereals.
  • Layer the mix with your favorite yogurt in a disposable covered container for a parfait-to-go!
  • Other dried fruit can be substituted—try sweetened dried cranberries or dried apples.
  • Oven Directions: Heat oven to 300°F. In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. In ungreased 13x9-inch pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in cereals and almonds until evenly coated. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Stir in sugar mixture and banana chips until evenly coated; bake an additional 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in blueberries. Store in airtight container.
